Known Contaminated Sites

This is the largest number of sites on the map. There are numerous reasons these sites can be contaminated, from either biological or chemical sources.  They are where levels meet or exceed water and soil standards determined by the Department of Environmental Protection.  They include sites where remediation is currently underway and sites that will receive attention in the future.  They are non-homeowner sites and this data is from the year 2009.
